Safe-T-Hook Hands-free Lifting solutions increase Lifting Safety

Keep Hands and Fingers Safer

Minimize Contact with Hooks and Loads

To Increase Lifting Safety, Efficiency & Precision - Think Safe-T-Hook
®

Our company, Safe-T-Hook®, agrees with you.  One single injury is one too many, and there is no cost too large to ensure the safety of your workers.  The most worthy goal is achieving and maintaining zero injuries and zero fatalities.  The greatest burden is having to inform families of an industrial accident.
Do not make your company tomorrow's tragic headline

Safe-T-Hook® products are engineered with the two highest operational imperatives - safety and efficiency - in mind.  Our precision technology makes faster lifting operations, fewer accidents, and lower cargo loss possible like no other solution.  With our high level of quality, reliability and service, Safe-T-Hook® provides unmatched value.

We give you speed and precision together - no need to trade one for the other.  Only Safe-T-Hook® provides this value to you with high-technology products precision-engineered in Norway for safety, ruggedness, durability, long-lasting performance, and ease of use and maintenance.

Designed to eliminate the hazards associated with traditional crane operations, only Safe-T-Hook® combines wireless technology, smart sensors, plug & play field-replaceable modular components, and rugged high strength alloy steel for maximum durability, ease of use and accuracy.  Our systems also feature a No-Pinch Grip (view video) to make hook manipulation safer and faster.  Optional remote-controlled hook closing is available as well - ideal for manufacturing, mills,  mines, and other industrial applications.

Our revolutionary HookMate® and Twister® systems enable you to:
  • Increase safety by allowing crews to remain at a safe distance from loads during critical lift phases
  • Boost efficiency by reducing the time required to complete each lift - saving time and money
  • Enhance precision by accurately controlling hook release (all models) & load rotation (Twister® models).

We are changing the game for crane operators in demanding industries such as

  • Oil & gas exploration - supply base / logistics and offshore platform operations; tanker & marine cargo cranes
  • Cargo handling & stevedoring - break bulk and project lifts
  • Heavy manufacturing & production - steel, aluminum, automotive, truck, aircraft, and marine vessels
  • Construction & Engineering - high-rise & large structures, especially pre-fabricated section placement
  • Utilities - Nuclear power plants (reduce exposure time), wind turbine installation & maintenance, etc.

HookMate®
slips easily onto existing crane hooks and features mobile wireless remote-controlled hook release, eliminating the need to unhook loads by hand after set-down. This can increase safety and save time.  Some of the benefits:

  • Crew at safe distance for hook release - reducing risk of hand and finger injuries
  • Ideal for multi-hook / tool jobs requiring simultaneous release
  • Attach to existing crane & hoist hooks - host system modifications not required
  • Rugged construction, plug & play modular components maximize up-time
  • No-pinch handle grip improves hook handling - safer and quicker to operate
  • Optional hook closing feature available - ideal for manufacturing, mills & mines
  • Can integrate remote control with hand or foot controls in crane cabin, or use hand-held
The new i-Series HookMate® represents a further step forward in technological innovation.
The hook control system is fully integrated into the hook mechanism.  This eliminates the need for the cylinder and pennant, thus reducing the system's size and weight.  The i-Series is the natural choice for operations that have more stringent space and weight constraints, as well as those jobs requiring multiple hooks or tools configured for simultaneous release.  Prices start at $30,000 (US Dollars), INCO Terms Ex Works (EXW), and vary according to working load limit, configuration, quantity purchased, optional features selected, etc.

Twister®
, our flagship system designed for maximum control and flexibility, includes the same ease of use and remote-controlled hook release as HookMate®, plus wireless remote-controlled
gyroscopically-stabilized command load rotation – allowing crane crews, following attachment of hook to load, to remain at a safe distance for the entire lift, movement, positioning, set-down and hook release process while precisely controlling the load hands-free.  The crew controls load rotation & hook actuation by wireless remote control from the crane cabin or other safe location.
Benefits include:
  • Enables hands-free lift ops - Crew at safe distance after connecting hook to load
  • Faster ops - no physical need for tag lines or other manual load rotation & positioning
  • More accurate - precisely rotate load by wireless remote control
  • Counters “sail effect” - operator can rotate load into wind (within torque limits)
  • Prevents “weather cocking” & “helicoptering“ (within torque limits)
  • More stable than headache ball - gyro reduces “wobble” & “sway" (pendulum effect)

Gyro-stabilized load rotation is superior to simple mechanical rotation because, within system torque limits, it senses actual direction with relation to the earth, not the crane swivel, etc.  It can control the rate of load rotation to eliminate "weather cocking" and "helicoptering."  This control can also reduce the degree to which the load continues to rotate due to its own momentum after the command to stop rotating is given.  The gyro-stabilized system also reduces "wobble" and "sway" (pendulum effect) because of the "ground-seeking" properties inherent to gyroscopic systems.

Other features:

  • Attach to existing crane & hoist hooks - host system modifications not required
  • Rugged construction, plug & play modular components maximize up-time
  • No-pinch handle grip improves hook handling - safer and quicker to operate
  • Optional hook closing feature available - ideal for manufacturing, mills & mines
  • Can integrate remote control with hand or foot controls in crane cabin, or use hand-held

Prices start at $265,000 (US Dollars), INCO Terms Ex Works (EXW), and vary according to working load limit, torque capacity, custom configuration, quantity purchased, optional features selected, etc.
